Complimentary Teacher’s Consultation

As teachers, we need confidence not only in our understanding of piano technique and musicianship, but also in our ability to transmit that knowledge to our students. The Art of Practicing is a clear, transformative approach that will help you become the teacher you’re meant to be. I’m devoted to working with teachers who have a deep desire to realize their potential—to break free of unhelpful habits and to go as far as they can in expressing themselves through their playing and teaching. If this sounds like you, I would love to talk to you about the possibility of working together. A complimentary teacher’s consultation lasts 45 minutes and may be in person or online.

At a consultation:

• We’ll discuss your current state of satisfaction in practice, performance, and teaching,
  and your goals and aspirations in all of these areas.
• You’ll play briefly, and I’ll help you identify your current technical and musical strengths, as well as areas that you can develop further.
• We’ll talk about what’s happening with your teaching, and what specific technical, musical, and interpersonal communication skills would help you make your teaching more effective and rewarding.

In the session we’ll find out if we’re a good fit.
